Bringing nursing data into one place (BNuT)

Nursing data sat in silos across institutions, impossible to compare.

The problem

Hospitals hold a lot of data on their nursing teams: rosters, administrative records, staff surveys. But it sits in separate systems and formats, so teams and institutions can’t easily be compared or tracked over time.

The approach

I co-developed BNuT (app.bnut.eu, login required), a web application that centralises and visualises nursing data across institutions. My focus was the back end and the statistics: the data architecture, the survey design, and the team-composition and collaboration metrics behind the dashboards. The front-end application was built with an external software firm.
